Jane Kim-Yang, LCSW
Jane Kim-Yang is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to empowering clients with compassion and humor. With over three years of experience, Jane specializes in anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma, and cultural identity, serving teens, women, couples, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent individuals.
Jane blends Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP) with a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach. Trained at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety, Jane helps clients build resilience, like the client who danced in the rain after conquering a thunderstorm phobia. She holds an MSW from UIC and a BA in English Literature.
Driven by her own journey with anxiety and ADHD, Jane became a therapist to support second-generation Asian Americans and others who feel unseen, fostering kindness over shame. Her sessions often ring with laughter, reflecting her insightful, solution-focused style. Clients leave with greater confidence and less burden.
Outside of work, Jane enjoys sci-fi shows, RPG video games, and browsing used bookstores with her spouse and dog. She’s here to help you embrace vulnerability and find strength—reach out when you’re ready to begin!
